Lt. Chris Taylor's Accident
Donation protected
On Tuesday February 7th, Chris Taylor, a Lieutenant with the German Township Volunteer Fire Department in Evansville, IN was driving his motorcycle when another motorist crossed his path of travel causing a collision. Lt. Taylor was ejected from his bike. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident. Lt. Taylor was transported to a local hospital and admitted to ICU, where he still remains. He suffered some internal injuries, at least one of which will require surgery to fix. He has been responsive to commands but is being kept sedated at this time. We at GTFD have started this fund to provide aid to our Brother in his time of need. Funds raised will be used to help pay his living expenses (rent, utilities, etc) while he is off work recovering as well as help pay for out of pocket medical expenses he incurs as a result of this accident. At this time we understand Lt. Taylor does not have disability insurance through his full-time employment. As we better understand the length of time his recovery may take, we will adjust our fundraising goal. We also want to say a quick, but heartfelt THANK YOU to those at Central Dispatch, EFD, EPD, and AMR who were a part of the response to Lt. Taylor's accident.
