Christine Wong's Road to the Tour!

Hi Everyone!
My name is Christine Wong and I am 25 years old. I have been playing golf since I was eight years old and have always dreamed of playing on tour. I was very fortunate with my success competing in junior golf and receiving a full-ride scholarship through golf to San Diego State University in 2009-2013 where I won 4 Individual College Tournaments. During the same time, I was also a member of Team Canada's Women's Golf Team. As an amatuer golfer at the time, I had also won the 2010 and 2012 British Columbia Women's Amatuer Championship Titles.
After graduation, I competed on the Symetra Tour in 2014 but struggled as a rookie. It was a shock to the system my first year, so I had turned to the work force as an Executive Assistant at Sport BC (Provincial Sport Federation) for the last 3 years where I gained experience working in sport.
Then it had dawned on me earlier this year that I needed to be back on the golf course somehow, some way. I began teaching at the Pacific Golf Academy where I gained experience in teaching and before I knew it, it sparked a drive to play again and I was back on the course playing!
My drive to pursue my dream has never been stronger after a few years to mature and focus on myself to become independant. I believe 2018 is the year for me and with your help we can make it happen as a team!
Below are my goals for 2018....
January - August: Train and compete on mini tours (Vancouver Golf Tour, Cactus Tour) and Monday qualify
End of August: 1st Stage of LPGA Qualifying School
End of October: 2nd Stage of LPGA Qualifying School
Beginning of December: Final Stage of LPGA Qualifying School
End of December: Qualify for the LPGA
*I plan to continue working for Sport BC until I reach my goal of qualifying for the LPGA*
