Christmas Eve Shooting Victim
Donation protected
This past Christmas eve I was the victim of a wrongful shooting by an Atlanta police recruit who claimed to be an Atlanta police officer. He shot me twice; I flat-lined in the ambulance on the way to the hospital and ended up with both lungs collapsed, three broken ribs, a broken vertebra in my upper back. I spent my Christmas and New Year's Eve in the ICU at the hospital finally being released at the end of the first week of January. It has been non-stop physical therapy, therapists, and psychologist appointments ever since. My insurance didn't go into effect until the beginning of the new year, so I had no coverage at the time of the incident.
It has been a long, hard road to recovery and I was out for ten weeks before the doctor finally cleared me to return to work. As only a veteran and full time student, bills are piled up and just getting higher! The scary thing is, I haven't even received all of the medical bills yet! Any funds raised are going to be strictly used for medical expenses.
Thank you so much for listening to my story. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated by myself and my family.
