Chuck needs a new kitty!

Do you recognize this man? If you live in Highland Park, St. Paul, you should!

Chuck is our neighborhood maintenance man! Every day you can see him weeding, painting, shoveling, picking up trash, and just keeping our beloved neighborhood looking beautiful (not to mention helping our Highland Catholic and Horace Mann students safe while crossing the street!)

Chuck does all this work without pay, simply because he loves to do it. All of which means he is on a very limited income.

I met Chuck at Highland Animal Hospital. His beloved cat, Ashley, was ill. She died this past spring. He is so sad to be without her, as she was a major part of his happy life. He would love to have a new kitten to love, but he simply cannot afford it.

To adopt a new kitten costs a lot of money! Adoption fees, neutereing, vaccinations all add up.

I am asking neighbors to show their love and appreciation to Chuck for his friendly, helpful presence in our neighborhood.

Please consider giving money to this cause. The money will be used to adopt the cat. Any money above our goal will be kept in an account at Highland Animal Hospital for future vet bills. We'll also use the money to buy kitty litter, food, and toys.

Chuck is so excited for this new addition to his life! He has already named the new kitty: Ashley Jr.
