Help Chuck Hammer Run

Donation protected
I am Chuck Hammer, a 9 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback. I was born in Travelers Rest, South Carolina on July 31st, 2015. http://www.sunshinevalleyridgebacks.com/

My goal/purpose/function/dream in life was to be an UltraMarathon Runner! But my dreams were taken from me because I was born with the bones in my rear left foot misplaced and deformed, and without pads. When my Daddy wraps my foot (like he wraps his own feet during Ultramarathons),I can run for a short distance but it still hurts my poor little foot. You can see for yourself on this video.

I can only pray/imagine that someday I can do that for 50K, 50 mile, 100 K and even 100 miles!!!  According to Animal Planet, I belong to "the Navy Seal of dog breeds and can keep up with a running horse for 30 miles."

To help me achieve my dream of running, I need two things:  a surgery (that sounds scary, someone hold my paw!) and a device that takes the place of my missing paw (that sounds kind of cool!)

The Surgery is to remove the bones under my paw that they say would have been my toes. Dr. Darien Lawrence at http://vsc-fl.com/doctors.html has seen me and has agreeed to this procedure. But from what I understand it is not that easy. Mommy and Daddy say we need about $2,600 to do the surgery.  I am not sure what that is, but I bet it would buy a lot of puppy toys!

After the surgery, I would have to be in a splint for about two weeks. But then I think I can run! Daddy says that I will be able to, but only with help after the operation.  I will need a prosthetic.

Daddy was speaking with a guy named Jeff in a place called "Canada" (brr, it sounds cold). Jeff is a cool guy who can make me a new foot. http://www.k-9orthotics.com/ Jeff has made lots of new feet for dogs and even cats (I have three kitty siblings). I will need one foot for when I am young, and a second foot for when I get to be a running BIG DOG, (when Mommy says I will need my own bed - don't think I like the sound of that!)  Daddy and Mommy are worried that they will not be able to get a new foot because of the money thing, guess feet are expensive.  Daddy says it will cost about $2,000 for a custom foot so I can run with the BIG DOGS! Jeff says the best foot for me might look something like this:
Thanks for your time and help and I hope to someday be able to run a race with you all!

P.S.  Here is a video of two Ridgebacks running on the beach.  One day I hope to be able to run on the beach this way.
