Chuejee Thao

My little brother Chuejee Thao has been missing since Monday, April 15th 2019. We don't know where he is or what happened to him. He was last seen in Saint Paul, Minnesota on the Robert Street bridge, wearing a dark green zip-up hoodie, dark blue jeans, black shoes, and wearing a black messenger bag. My family and I have been searching for him non stop since the 15th, and many people have joined us in our search for Chuejee, but sadly, we still haven't been able to locate my brother.
So many people have been in touch with me, offering their help and asking how they can help us out. There are many ways you can help out my family and ways you can help find Chuejee!
1. You can follow the Facebook page that we have created to centralize information or give updates and please share it with others! https://www.facebook.com/hopeforchuejee
2. My family and I have been out searching for Chuejee everyday, if you live in the Twin Cities, you are more than welcome to join us as we search and pass out flyers containing information on Chuejee. We have had so many people join us already, and thank you to those of you we have met out on the streets helping out my family.
3. You can contribute financially as well. Any amount will really help out my family. Both of my parents have been taking time off work and my husband and I have returned from Japan and have taken time off work indefinitely, in order to find my brother. Our family is close to exhausting the funds that we have, as we have been out searching everyday for Chuejee.
We will use the funds raised to print flyers, to buy food, water, and other supplies as we go out to search for Chuejee, and it will also support my younger siblings and the family at home. Chuejee has 9 other siblings, 3 of which are still in Elementary school, 2 in high school and 2 attending university. The money will be used to buy basic necessities, ie. toothpaste, shampoo, toiletries, and food, etc.
Since Chuejee has been missing, my heart has been so heavy and has gone through a roller coaster of emotions, as has everyone in my family. There have been many days when I just wanted to break down and cry, or days when I wanted to scream at everybody. But it is through everyone's support that my family and I have been able to keep hope alive that we will find Chuejee, regardless of what has happened to him.
I have met and befriended so many people who have been out on the streets looking for Chuejee, who have gone through similar heartbreak in their lives. Thank you for your kind words, your tireless action, and your love and help in shouldering this tremendous heartache. Without each and everyone of you, I don't know where my family would be right now.

We continued to post fliers around the West Side of St. Paul. We covered everything on the previous map that was posted-including the Wabasha, Robert, and Smith bridge. We also continued to search along the Mississippi river on Warner rd. As of now, we’re not planning another formal search party, however, my family and I are checking along the Mississippi river banks and keeping our eyes on the river for anything, every day. We’re also keeping our eyes on the water level; as soon as it is safe enough for boats to be out, we’re going to get boats out on the river to help us with our search for Chuejee. We’re also hoping to have drones set up along different parts of the river to help us search as well. If you’re able to, please let us know when and where you can look along the Mississippi river. If you have drones or you have access to a boat, please let us know. When the water level goes down we may need more help to keep an eye on the river.
Thank you again for all the kind donations, warm messages and for reaching out on how to help. My family and I cannot thank you all enough. To know that we have so many people supporting us has given us so much strength through everything. Thank you for your love, your thoughts, your prayers, your energy.

This past weekend we continued to search along the Mississippi River banks (bike trails down Warner Road, Kaposia Landing, Swing Bridge, Spring Lake) and passed out/posted flyers in our neighborhood (West Side of St. Paul). If you have been following the Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/hopeforchuejee) you can also see what we’ve been doing and where we’ve been searching. As of now, there is no news on Chuejee. The police are waiting for water levels to go down to further their searches. Though we are hopeful, we are also preparing for the worst.
To everyone who has contributed, we have reached and exceeded our initial goal of $2,000 because of your love and support. Thank you for all your support, whether you shared, donated, joined us in the searches, passed out flyers, or have kept us in your thoughts and prayers. The past 2 weeks have been a very trying time for my family, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. To have all of you help shoulder our financial burden during this time has been uplifting.
As of now, my husband and I plan to move back to Minnesota as soon as we can, to be with my family and to continue searching for my brother, Chuejee. The move back to MN from Japan was not in our immediate plans and as it has taken us by surprise, we were not prepared for it. Please continue to share and contribute to help us return and stay in MN, to help my family, and to help find Chuejee Thao.
