Cirella Strong: Medical Fund

If you asked any of Gianna's family or friends, they would be the first to tell you that she is one of the most charismatic people you will ever meet. She has a unique sense of humor, and wherever she goes, an abundence of laughs follow. She is a devoted friend, student, and athlete, and is considered as family to many.  Recently, she is faced with a challenge that is far too great to overcome without the help of her family, friends, and even strangers. She is currently a junior and a student athlete at Toll Gate High School, in Warwick, Rhode Island. Over the past week, her soccer season came to an abrupt end once she was admitted in the hospital on Monday morning. What started out as a sore throat turned into something far worse. She was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and an infection in her blood stream. Additionally, she faced various complications of great severity, and she relies on several machines to assist with her breathing and blood circulation. However, her right leg has not been able to recieve the oxygen needed in order to keep her muscles healthy. In order to save her life, part of this leg will need to be removed. As her best friend, I hope that the money we raise will be a contributing factor to her medical bills and necessary equipment needed for her recovery. The money raised will be given to Tara Cirella, Gianna's mother. Together, with the help of her loved ones and the community, we are #CirellaStrong.
