Citizens Against Tubs on Stilts

We are a group of concerned citizens who feel that the public art installation featuring bathtubs on stilts that has been approved by the Petaluma Public Art Committee to be installed on Water Street between Washington and Western:
- Is inappropriate for the location;
- Does not relate to Petaluma in any rational way;
- Is derivative as an art piece (War of the Worlds, Dali,
  Star Wars Walkers)
- Presents a variety of safety, liability and public health hazards; 

We are organizing a resistance campaign to motivate the City of Petaluma to either abandon this project entirely, or to relocate it to a more appropriate place. 

We will use the funds collected here to pay for materials and efforts to get the word out to the entire population of Petaluma, the actual "public" that the Public Art Committee is supposed to be serving, and to organize events to demonstrate to the City Council that the vast majority of the citizens of Petaluma do not want to see this art installation erected at this location.
