City of Hewitt in Honor of Gus

For over a month our community of Hewitt, Tx  has been searching for a lost Bassett Hound named Gus amongst many volunteers from all over this community. We have searched high and low, thick brush on foot, expensive technology equipment donated by local people and a group from Dallas Mutts and Mayham (a local rescue group) drove all the way here to help search bringing a THERMAL DRONE.  This is THE ONLY technology that can go up above a site area, fly and detect anything with a temperature. Its Amazing. They located Gus within 4 hours in thick brush. However, there was a battery malfunction and they lost site before he could be captured. Unfortunately, they had to return to Dallas and now we are back to square one. The local police department and fire department has been 100% involved in this search and has been trying to budget for a Thermal Drone for many years. Our community NEEDS this. We cannot continue to depend on Dallas or another big city to come in when we have trained people right here that can use this equipment.  Police & Firefighters need this for search and rescue missions and finding hot spots in a building fire amongst other things. Please help where  you can so our community can get the technology we so desperatly need. You may need it one day.
