Hello, My name is Carly Kennedy Davis, currently Miss Downtown Seattle Usa 2015. I am proud to announce that I will be competing for the role and title of Miss Washington USA 2016!!

Since I was a young girl my passion in life has always been interacting with people and building community!! I am intrigued by people. I delight in their stories, understand their motivations, relate in their fears and celebrate their triumphs. I have learned so much about myself and the world through theses much valued experiences.

Along with being a first Generation college student pursuing my degree in Communications, I also spend much of my time building true community at Barolo Ristorante, a restaurant I’ve worked at for the last five years. I am blessed to have met so many WONDERFUL people whom I have been able to make deep connections with, be inspired by and truly call mentors and friends. I am honored to be a part of a richly diverse community that exists even outside of the restaurant walls.

My motivation to compete for the title of Miss Washington USA stems from my mission to help young women understand that they have the power to create the lives they want not matter the circumstance or shortcomings. To accomplish this mission I aspire to create a program called “Take Your Reign”. It will be a series of workshops that empowers young women with important life skills that they can use to discover and pursue their dream while effectively handling the hurdles that life throws at them.

Take Your Reign is a workshop series geared towards young women ages 13-18. In these workshops we will focus on common topics and areas of development that young women face in their young adult lives. The topics will include financial management, female entrepreneurship, technology use, nutrition and exercise, dealing with loss and self-development.

As Miss Washington USA 2016 I would get the opportunity to stream line my goal to develop and take the Take Your Reign program to a higher level so that it can impact a larger number of young women... NOW.

I hope to raise $5,000.00 for my pageant fee which includes funding for my reaserch of self development through consulting with professionals in all related fields for my Take Your Reign program, my entry fee, my sash, workshops, group coaching, pageant weekend hotel and food, swimsuit, shoes and preparation to compete at the national level.
