Hundreds of thousands of people in Haiti need help.
I refuse to forget the cry of hunger... EVER!! Help me help them. Today, 3.4 million people (mostly children) die each year from water-related diseases. That’s one child every 20 seconds.
I'm asking you to allow me to be your hands and feet extended as we take clean water to the people of Haiti. Right now, you can help entire families have clean water for the next 10 years.
In Haiti, you will find villagers (mostly small children) who have to walk three miles, one way, each day to collect a couple of gallons of water for the family. The water sources they collect from are murky and not potable, so it has to be carried back and boiled for the family to safely drink.
It is not uncommon for you to find sources of water where people are bathing, animals are walking through and people are drinking from at the same time.Yes, they DRINK this water. There is no waste management here.. Help US.. Help Haiti.
Horrible yet true is, water that some people would deem unfit for their dogs, is the only source of water that many and their families have to drink. Since their options are to drink it or die of thirst, ultimately they have no choice.
The water filters we take to the field provide clean water for 10 years. 1 filter is just $50. For a seed of $1000, you can provide clean water to 20 families for 10 years.
