Clean Water for Ghana
Donation protected
Hi, everyone!
My name is Adam Atia, and I am currently a PhD student in environmental engineering at Columbia University. On campus, I am volunteering with a group called Engineers Without Borders, and we'll be traveling to Ghana this summer to
a) build a latrine system for a village called Kwasi Doi, and
b) determine the best way to build a water-supply system for 2,000 people in a village called Amanfrom who currently lack access to clean water.
Our goal is to provide these communities with clean water and improved sanitary conditions, which would be a huge step towards a better quality of life and disease prevention in rural Ghana.
Of course, traveling to Ghana to do all of these things won't be free, and as a graduate student, let's just say the money isn't pouring in for me. I really need your help to meet my goal, which strictly includes airfare, transportation within Ghana, lodging, food, a visa, yellow fever shots, and malaria pills.
If you want to know more about this project, feel free to contact me, or check out our website!
Any little bit counts. Help me bring clean water to a Ghanaian community that needs it! Thank you!
