Doing foolish things with enthusiasm!
That's the story of my life.
I'm sure there are a lot of folks that at one time or another wanted to runaway and join the circus...
well, my time is NOW!
My name is Bill Wilkison (Actor, Improvisor, Director.) When you think of clowns you may think of tiny cars, buckets of confetti, birthday parties or they may just scare the living daylights out of you.
But, did you know about "caring clowns"?
Seven years ago, my wife lay in a hospital bed with terminal cancer. On Easter morning, with her family gathered around her, there came a knock at the door. It was a rugged male nurse dressed foolishly with face paint and pointy white fluffy ears atop his head. My wife smiled through her discomfort and said, "Bunny."
I'll never forget that nurse. It is one of my favorite memories of our four year ordeal. That nurse did something foolish with enthusiasm and entered into the noble act of clowning.
Mooseburger Clown Arts Camp is a 6 day intensive designed to meet the needs of people who want to be real clowns. Tricia Manuel, aka Pricilla Mooseburger, (Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disneyland) has been training clowns since 1996.
I have no idea at this point what type of clown I am, but I need your help to find out. Your contribution will help with registration fees and supplies on my way to becoming a real caring clown. While the camp is 51 weeks away (July 25-30, 2017), space in the program is limited and registration process needs to begin immediately.
It has been a life long dream of mine to be a real clown. My gratitude for your financial support will be paid with every smile from every individual I entertain and comfort, young and old in the years to come for as long as I'm able to walk about on this earth.
"By laughing at me, the audience really laughs at themselves, and realizing they have done this gives them sort of a spiritual second wind for going back into the battles of life. " -Emmett Kelly
