Cobb Support for Baton Rouge Fund
Donation protected
Every year since 2014 a group of men from Leadership Cobb class of 2014 has gotten together for an annual "guys weekend" of fun and fellowship. This year we decided we would get more out of helping others for our weekend adventure. So with the crisis in Baton Rouge we are gathering as many donations as we can into a 26' box truck donated by Champion Logistics Group of Atlanta (thanks to our connections At Blue Sky Exhibits) and heading to the Baton Rouge area to distribute on Saturday August 27th 2016. In addition to gathering water, food, clothing, and other items we are looking for cash to buy bottled water, non-perishable food, and to proivide things people need like toiletries, diapers, bleach, etc. All of the money will be 100% dedicated to the costs of the trip and purchase of resources to donate to people in need. The only anticipated costs other than what we will purchase to give away, is our fuel. We need these funds as soon as possible. We are leaving in just a few days.
Your donation will mean a great deal to us and even more to those in need. Help us show that Cobb County, Georgia, and everyone else cares by donating today. Even $1 is not too little. Thank you very much for the support of this effort.
PS: Although this is not a Leadership Cobb sponsored event it would not have been possible if these men had not met through this worthy group. You can learn more about Leadership Cobb by reaching out to the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.
