Collection of Voices: USA Heroes

Veterans are the definition of true American heroes. They have been places and seen things most of us will never encounter. It’s our duty to make sure their experiences, words and ideas never die. Veterans’ Voices needs your help to create a collection of voices, accessible to everyone for years to come.

Background:

Dating back to the 1950’s, VVMP has been publishing veteran writings in their national magazine for nearly 70 years. This project was created with the intent of giving veterans an outlet after coming home from war. Veterans were able to use writing as a form of therapy when they needed it most. Today, Veterans’ Voices magazine continues to grow and actively encourage all military veterans to express their thoughts and feelings in writing. The amount of lives they have helped and the difference they have made in their community is truly unbelievable.

Collection of Voices:

Veterans’ Voices has the rare opportunity to bring history back to life. Since the 50’s, they have been collecting thousands of writings by veterans who aren’t around today to share their story. With your help, they will be able to create an online achieve system where every single writing ever published by the magazine will be accessible to anyone with internet access. Veterans’ Voices is a 501 (c)(3) organization, meaning they are a not-for-profit entity. That’s why they are requesting your help.
