Let us introduce ourselves first; CollectiveF8 is an all-female, socially conscious photography collective consisting of 3rd year BA(Hons) Photography students at Edinburgh College of Art. We are Izzie Budler, Louise Burns, Amber Brown, Lucy Fradley, Emily Lynch, Serina Ma, Anna Hunter and Amy Witney Scholes.
'Debutante' our first ever exhibition as a collective is set to revitalise a stunning Edinburgh venue - the last remaining Victorian fire station in the UK, which has been repurposed as a gallery space. We're pooling together all our resources to make it an exciting and inclusive event, but we need all the support we can get to contribute to our local arts scene and raise awareness for the issues covered in our photography.
We have created this GoFundMe platform to reach out - if you are happy to donate to the collective, we'd really appreciate any help at all that we can get to support CollectiveF8's ambitions. If you are unable to donate and still are interested in how you can help; please spread the word through social media, your friends and family!
Donations will go towards funding future exhibitions including mainly Debutante and creating an accompanying zine following the exhibition. In the zine, anyone who donates £5 or over will be listed as a sponsor.
'Debutante' will run from its opening night on the 18th of September with free drinks, lots of scrumptious baked goods and music, the exhibition will then continue until the 21st.
