"Collin Strong" Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Collin has been a pretty active kid his entire life, like most 11 year old boys. He's been playing soccer since 5 and enjoys basketball too. He's been active in cub scouts and recently completed his Arrow of Light. Collin loves school, especially Math & Science and plays drums in the school band. When he gets home from school, the activity never stops as he and his older brother are constantly playing some kind of game outside and inside.
So when Collin was home from school for a week and wanting to sleep all the time, his parents knew something was wrong. But nothing could have ever prepared his parents and us for what was making him tired. On 4/3/17, Collin's life would change forever. All of our lives would change forever. That Monday morning, after staying home from school again, Collin suffered a seizure. The volunteer First Aid squad came to his house and brought Collin to the local hospital. A CT scan discovered multiple tumors in Collin's brain. He was immediately flown to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he has been undergoing several treatments to cure him.
Collin's journey and fight against cancer has just begun and he has maintained a strength and positive attitude that has amazed all of us. His cancer is considered high risk but we are forever hopeful that he will be healed and return home. His treatments include proton radiation therapy and eventually chemotherapy. The disease and treatments have physically weakened Collin to the point where he could no longer walk or do basic functions. But through therapy he continues to regain his strength a little everyday and his parents are by his side all the time trying to help keep Collin positive. He is determined to fight this and rid the cancer from his body. Collin is determined to kick cancer's ass!
We are asking for your support in helping to pay for Collin’s treatments and medical costs. Any remaining funds will be donated to pediatric cancer research.
It will be a long journey but with your help and prayers we know he WILL make it!
May God's blessings be with each of you.
Thank you for your support and generosity!!
