Cookies On Deployment

Grandma Bade always made the best cookies.  They seemed to taste the same no matter how many she made (and she made thousands!) and they were perfect for dipping in cold milk.  But after she decided to start sending them to the troops, they seemed to taste even better!

In 2009, Connie and Bob Bade (Oakdale, MN) decided to start a tradition on baking thousands of cookies in a single day, packaging them and sending them to U.S. troops stationed around the world.  The tradition was kept for 5 years and over 15,000 cookies were sent.  It was truly an awe-inspiring event.

Sadly, in 2014, Connie Bade passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  The tradition seemed to leave when she did.  Now we want to bring back sending cookies to the troops in remembrance of her.

Donations will go towards cookie supplies, stationary for handwritten notes to the troops and the ever increasing cost of shipping these delicious care packages around the world.

We are also looking for names and addresses of military personnel who are stationed around the globe who could use a home baked delight.  While, we cannot guarantee that all names we receive will get a care package, we will do our best.  Please send addresses to [email redacted].

Lastly, we will be sending hand written letters to the troops in every care package.  If you would like to pen a letter and send it in addition/ in leu of donation, please send the letter to:
