We are current and former service industry workers who have come together to start the first worker cooperative cafe in New York City!
A worker cooperative is a business that is run by the workers democratically, without a boss. Instead of the money from the business going to a capitalist, the proceeds are divided amongst the workers or returned to the community. Our co-op will divide our surplus between the workers, reinvestment in more cooperatives, and a fund to support community projects allocated through participatory budgeting by our members.
If that sounds like a good idea to you, help us raise the capital to buy equipment and get one step closer to opening a physical location in NYC.
You can join as a Community Member for a $10 more more. Community Members of the cooperative will receive a discount and be able to vote on allocating part of our annual surplus in our community grant program. For $25 or more, we will include a pound of Equal Exchange coffee!
