"Courtney is hardworking and determined to meet her goals. She is an includer who will make sure everyone is involved." This is one of the many positive things I've heard when my community describes me. This year as Miss Indiana United States I will continue to surpass goals and recruit more ambassadors on my mission. I however am kept awake by wondering: When will my mission go global? The answer is NOW. This July your favorite Hoosier will take the stage to compete for Miss United States! This year I am dedicated to creating an inclusive community for everyone. My movement Dress Against Dating Abuse is the gateway for young women to be part of a charitable family. Dress Against teams up with charities such as the One Love Foundation to educate people on the dangers of dating violence while providing an outlet for self expression through fashion and character development. I will also utilize this title to plan my second and third annual school tour with my new upcoming program: How to Lose Your Followers in 10 days, which warns about the consequences of negative life choices and features real life stories of loss and hope. A queen gives everyone a sense of purpose. A queen is responsible for giving people something to be a part of. It takes a community to win a crown and I know with your help we can all be part of this victory! Funds raised will go towards pageant expenses. Any funds not used will go to the One Love Foundation.
