Coxwell Ave. Fire Destroys Home
Yesterday evening (March 31, 2017) my brothers (Michael) family home caught fire which originated in the neighbour's house unnoticed. The family is safe (thank you to a neighbour for alerting them! You're a life saver ♡), though the cat is yet to be located. Tragically, the house is absolutely unlivable in big part due to a large portion of their roof is now gone, as well as extensive water damage. It is estimated that 80% of their belongings are destroyed. We were able to grab some clothes, but otherwise nothing else. They have 3 kids between the ages of 2 and 7. To top it off, my brother just started an at home business, and is unable to obtain supplies or computer documents until further notice. Any funds that could be put forward would be GREATLY appreciated, and put towards replacing furniture, appliances, clothing, baby supplies and children's belongings. The presently have a safe space to stay, but little storage space. We are all very grateful to the incredible community support that was displayed last night. It was truly heart warming. Much love, The Rogers.
