Cal Poly Disorientation Guide

For too long the Cal Poly student body has been complacent. It's time for that to change.
The Cal Poly Disorientation Guide is an informative book for incoming students. The goal of this guide is broad, but in a sense it is to challenge the beliefs that so many incoming students have about the world, our country, humanity, and the institution we attend. The point is to ask critical questions, to challenge beliefs, and to educate. We hope this guide will be a step towards creating a more aware and radical campus community. The guide also aims to highlight resources, clubs, faculty, and other organizations at Cal Poly and in the San Luis Obispo region that students can utilize during their time at the University.
Here are some links to guides created by other schools, we would particularly recommend reading the first two articles in the UC Santa Cruz Guide. The first article is a basic overview of what the guide is intended for and the second is titled “Education in Crisis.”
