Sponsoring C++ on Sea Diversity & Support Tickets
Donation protected
The goal of #include <cpp> is to help make the C++ community a more inclusive, welcoming place. One way we work towards this is by sponsoring attendees to go to conferences who may otherwise be unable to attend.
C++ on Sea is an international C++ conference taking place in Folkestone, Kent, UK from 4th-6th February 2019. Funds raised from this campaign will help pay travel and accommodation costs for those who need them. The conference has kindly agreed to both match donations, and supply tickets for the main conference and speakers dinner to those who are selected (this does not include workshops; these may be purchased separately).
Application to receive supporting funds is open to anyone, but intended for those who require financial support to attend. Selection will be carried out by a panel of #include <cpp> organisers, who will be looking at how much an applicant and the conference would benefit from their attendance. Priority will be given to those from underrepresented groups. If you would like to apply, please fill in this form. Deadline for applications is 2019-01-06.
We hope to provide five places at the conference as part of this campaign, although this is subject to funds raised and geographic location of selected candidates (location is not taken into account during selection).
Any funds raised above the costs for the selected candidates will be used for future campaigns of the same nature.
