Our dear friend Cristina Leon was recently informed of the very serious illness of a close family member.
Cristina lives in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and her family is 3300 miles away in Ecuador. Despite the distance, she dropped everything and boarded a plane as quickly as possible to travel to Ecuador and support her family in this difficult time.
At this time, she does not know how long she will need to remain in Ecuador, or when she will be able to return to work.
We are raising funds to help with travel expenses for Cristina and her husband, as well as to replace lost income while she is away caring for her family.
Cristina's paid vacation time will soon be exhausted, so she can use donations immediately. This is likely to be a long process, so any amount you can give at any time will be helpful and most greatly appreciated.
