Crystal Shrum's Cremation
Donation protected
Last night around midnight, my little sister Crystal Shrum was cruelly taken from this world. She was killed by a hit and run driver on Fair Oaks Blvd. She was only 26 and had been out celebrating her birthday with a beloved friend and cousin, along with her boyfriend.
Crystal was a bright spot in a dark world - she was full of easy laughter, a fast grin, and a kind heart. She was fiercely protective of her family and friends, and wouldn't hesitate to call someone out if she felt they were in the wrong. Crystal had struggled throughout her life, finding herself in hard positions and difficult situations, but she was determined to turn things around. She was determined to make the best life for herself moving forward - that is the Crystal that I know we will all remember, and love, and cherish.
It is unfair that she has been taken from us. Her life was far too short, and not filled with as much levity and ease as I wish it had been. But she was loved. She was loved by so many, so deeply. And I know she felt that.
We love you Crystal. Now and always, little sister.
This go fund me is for cremation and life celebration expenses. All funds raised will go towards her cremation first, and then to a life celebration (details of which will be posted here as an update when that is scheduled). Any left over funds will go towards taking care of Crystal's pets, who she loved dearly.
If you have any information on the hit and run suspect, please come forward with it.
From the news:
Physical evidence suggests the suspect car is gray, [CHP Officer] Walker said. Anyone with information about a gray car traveling westbound on Fair Oaks Boulevard between Bannister Road and Bob Lane around midnight [12:15 am] on Sunday is asked to call the CHP dispatch at (916) [phone redacted]
