Karen Villeneuve has been working at Papa Vinos Italian Restaurant since 2001 as a hostess and a server. She is
a hardworking single mother of 3 kids from Livonia, MI. Karen is the sweetest, most giving and genuinely happy person and anyone that calls her a friend can consider themselves lucky. She has done everything in her power for her children to give them a happy, good life including waiting tables full time and working long hours on her feet. In the past 5 years alone she has been divorced, and had her childhood and family home put up for short sale because this wonderful sweet woman can't keep up with her bills alone. On Thursday, March 17th 2016, a new but trusted Co-worker asked Karen if he could borrow her family van in an emergency situation so he could go to the hospital when they were at work together. Hours later when he did not return, Karen came to the awful realization that he stole her van; her only mode of transportation to and from work for her and her family. Karen is at a complete loss as to how she is going to come up with any money to get a new car, since her Van was older and the insurance money will not be enough to cover the cost of any new vehicle. Instead of focusing on the negative and loss that an awful person could steal another persons car without a second thought, we, the Papa Vinos family are fighting to get Karen help so she can have enough money to buy another car so she can drive to work to provide for her family. If you find in yourself wanting to donate, please do so we can help Karen and her 3 children. Any amount helps, and if not, please share this story, so a wonderful woman who has been down on her luck for awhile now can finally get the help she deserves!
