Education For Poor Children

Children Without Borders is a non-profit organization that was formed to address and raise awareness about the rapid increase of child labour in Afghanistan. CWB assists poverty-stricken children to achieve a brighter future through education. CWB believes that every child should have access to education and live a healthy and happy childhood. CWB assists those unfortunate children who have been robbed of their childhood and have been forced to become the sole breadwinner of their households at a very young age. Since the start of this initiative in 2016, CWB has successfully identified and put 21 deserving children between 5-15 years-old to school and provides monthly stipends to their families who have vowed to send their children to school and do not force them to engage in any type of child labour. Our job is not only to send children to school and raise number of enrollment, in fact, CWB believes more on the impact and sustainability. Therefore, our team in the field monitors these children’s performances closely and keeps regular contact with their families and school authorities to ensure that our efforts and funds are not wasted. Thus far, we have seen a drastic change in these children lives as they now have the ability to read, write and dream to form their future. Children that were carrying the burden and had become the breadwinners, they are now set free of carrying that burden. Instead, now they dream of becoming a doctor, engineer, teacher and etc. One of the many success stories of CWB, is our two bright siblings, Palwasha and Farman. After losing their father in a suicide attack, Palwasha and Ferman saw no option but to start working. They started collecting and reselling plastic bags. However, after being placed in CWB’s education program in May 2018, both of them exceeded our expectation by scoring top marks in their mid-terms. Hence, we have set a goal of putting an additional 5 children in school by March 2019 when the new academic year kicks off. Below is the breakdown of the cost of sponsorship and we’re more than happy to answer any query.

1. $30.00 for school fees/supplies;
2. $70.00 for their income replacement and household expenses;
3. $100.00 one time donation to purchase apparel for Eid, and winter;
4. TOTAL COST: $1300.00 per child

CWB takes pride in being transparent and ensuring that every donated penny gets to the beneficiary. CWB does not charge an admin fee or have any hidden fees. In return of your contribution, CWB will provide you monthly attendance record, progress report every quarter and live footage of the beneficiary and their respective family every month.Although we have all left Afghanistan, we all have an obligation to reach out to those whose voices have been silenced for too long, who have become invisible and have lost hopes.
