Sick Fox Care
Donation protected
I'm a wildlife rehabilitator caring for very sick fox cubs in the Des Moines area. I was called by the management they reside at to help them after it'd been discovered these guys are suffering from very severe mange.
For one it was too late. After nine hours of care, fluids, medications, and two veterinians working on her, the decision was made to euthanize and end her suffering.
I spent hundreds in medicaton and care for the single fox to give her a fighting chance that day. I have nothing more to spend. I'm empty handed and desperate to save the other foxes. The other two need more advanced medicine or they will have the same fate :( I hate, hate, hate asking for money but I'm desperate.
The meds are pricey, plus continued and supportive care costs will add up. I'm not asking for a free handout-- if you donate I will give back to you anyway I can (petsit, babysit, errands, anything!)
Wildlife rehabilitators rely solely on donations. Mange is a terrible, painful affliction that does not go away on it's own. These guys need help. I'm doing what I can in the mean time and have medicine I'm giving them now, but they need something much stronger for much longer because the mange is already very advanced.
If this exceeds the needed amount, the extra money will be used for future rehabilitation emergency situations just like this. Ideally if there is enough, I'd like to set up the business with a good supply of quality food for them as they are skin and bones because of the mange :(
Thank you!!
Beth
