Bay Shore Goes to Hamilton

Help us take 512 Bay Shore Juniors to see Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical, “Hamilton.”
Too many Bay Shore students have never set foot in a Broadway theater. For many of our students, a trip to New York City is a simply a luxury they cannot afford.
Along comes Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton”: a ground breaking musical that is the perfect introduction to live theater. Inspired by Ron Chernow’s biography, "Alexander Hamilton", Miranda tells our nation’s story with a young cast fluent in the idioms of hip-hop and R&B. Miranda’s founding fathers are no refined white men in powdered wigs. They are a band of brilliant, competitive and sometimes reckless brothers (and sisters) played by a multi-racial cast…a cast that looks like Bay Shore’s own diverse student population.
We at the Bay Shore Schools Arts Education Fund want every single one of our Juniors to see this extraordinary musical. We have reserved tickets for March 30, 2016. Towards a total cost of $84,000 we have already raised $52,500. With your support, we can reach our goal.
Help us give Bay Shore’s Junior Class a history lesson they will never forget. Help send Bay Shore to “Hamilton.”
Thank you.
