Damari's College Fees Fund

Hello Everyone!

Many of you may know me via either social media or school... I attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. I am starting this campaign to raise moeny as an effort to help me pay for the exorbitant college fees (tuition/housing/textbooks/tutors) I am faced with and will be faced with for a while.

For those who do not know me, I have always been dealing with the fact that my mother, being a single parent of two, was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. It has gradually been getting worse. The reason I mention that, is not for pity, but to point out that she is already stressed with worrying about her health and my younger brother who will also be getting ready to go off to college as well. While attending the University of Florida, I have obtained a part-time job to help alleviate the expenses placed onto my mother. The issue is that this job only pays up to $1500 a semester, although it helps, it is not enough to help me pay for most of my college fees.

I was fortunate enough to receive a couple small grants and my father contributes with what he can, but that is only enough to cover housing and some tuition; I am still left with the remaining tuition balance, textbook costs, the necessary funds needed to hire tutors for my challenging classes.

I am nearing my third year of undergraduate school as an Anthropology major aspiring to become a pharmacist in the future; so I know that the money provided, regardless of the amount given, will go a long way. All of the money donated will go towards paying for my college expenses, allwoing me to succesfully graduate with my bachelor's degree and reduce the stress placed onto my family.

I understand that I am not the only person going through hardship, so if you can donate [whether it is $1 or more], I would be highly appreciative of your help. If you cannot, sharing this with your family and friends is also just as good.
