Uphill Battle - We Will Not Lose
I am Lyndsey. Danielle is my wife, very active young, vibrant, amazing 30 year old. We have been mareied 2 years and togwther for 6. We have 2 daughters from her previous marriage, Ava (10) and Rowan (8) and 3 foster children Sammy (8), Andy (3) and Sarah (8 months).
This photo was taken at the beach nearby, with them having fun on an ATV, just two days ago, April 21.
I've setting up this account for Dani OBO Lyndsey, her significant other.
They lead an active life with mom, doing all kids of very cool kid stuff, in soccer, girl scouts, music and singing lessons, etc. The kids worry about homeless people and even did their own blanket drive for the homeless.
Never a dull moment.
Who could have imagined that that very night, at 3 am, Danielle would lose both her legs trying to save other people in the car ahead of her that spun out and t-boned the guardrail?
A third car came along, and, in the rain, on Rte. 75, and hit the crash car, pushing it, and Danielle, into the guardrail.
She had been standing next to the driver door of the crashed car, and had called 911. Little did 911 know, OR Danielle know, that she, the Good Samaritan and hero, would become the crash victim with the worst injuries.
At the scene, Paramedics had to give her blood. Both her legs were mashed and mangled, and, if she didn't get blood, she'd have died at the scene, the Good Samaritan now the victim of her own caring and compassion.
Just like Dani though....empathy, compassion, caring, always the one there for everyone else, just couldn't settle for just calling 911 and standing by.
Let me tell you just a little about this amazing mom to 5 kids, who still bakes everything herself and raises money for abused moms, fostered kids, and everybody else, and still makes time to be a Girl Scout Troop leader, chauffer, playmate for those kids and even other folks kids.
In her SPARE time, she works 50+ hours a week as a private contract massage therapist. No health insurance from the scammer employer, he doesn't even have a disability program for employees...
Now Dani's career and job are gone, she needs a power wheelchair, and then, 2 prostetic legs, above the knees.
She'll need every bit of $50,000 just for that. And prostetics are estimated to be good for just 5 years or so. She's 30, so going to need 8 sets along the way.
She is my hero. I am so pround and amazed by her evwry day ! Nothing will stop her. Nothing will stop us.
