PRE RELEASE ORDER FOR MY NEXT ALBUM!

HI THERE FOLKS!

You can order HOT OF THE PRESS! A pre released Album

I've got a bunch of songs ready for recording and I would be very grateful for any assistance....here's a what it's all about.

My name is Dawn Barrington and I live in the beautiful coastal town of Denmark WA.  I moved here with my family only 6 years ago from the big smoke with the intention to start up my art practice.  I somehow ended up in the TAFE music program and it took over my life and unbeknown to me I found my passion.......  I'm a communicator and I love to write and this has translated into a successful career of singing/performing and songwriting.  I feel like I have something to say and my songs have become instrumental in expressing the things that matter to me most, which are, my concerns for the environment and the social issues we face today.  This in itself has given me a new lease of life, hope and purpose.

What have I been up to
I have been working incredibly hard for the past 5 years and for those who know me they could definitely vouch for that.  I am extremely commited to my craft of learning guitar, writing songs and performing, however, the music industry is extremely competitive,  so to financially support myself I have been also running music events, working for the Denmark Arts Council and teaching guitar.  Things have been moving very rapidly for me and in 2016 I made the decision to make my sole income from my music: that is, performing, touring, songwriting and selling CDs/digital downloads.

I have been performing at venues around the Great Southern, the South West and Perth on a regular basis and recently I took a trip to the East Coast where I got a fantastic response!  I will be going over east again in March/April of this year to play at some great venues.  I released my album "Break of the Day" at the Nannup music festival which is one of the biggest festivals here in WA.  I have been getting regular national air play of my tracks for the past 2 years.   Last year another 16 community radio stations downloaded my tracks for airplay.

Other releases
I absolutely love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else and I have a whole bunch of songs ready for recording.  I self funded my EP "Voices" released in 2014 and my single "Women of War" released in 2015 and my Album "Break of the Day" released in February 2016. It's a costly process and for a musician the recorded CD is such an important tool to get your music out there.

Moving forwards
I am at a point now where I am starting to gain traction and some fantastic opportunities are coming my way so it's really important to stay on track and continue the process of recording songs as they get written and prepare for tours further afield.

So what am I seeking?
So all this said I am now seeking further funding for my album and any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.  If you can't help finiancially then sharing it with your friends will be equally as supportive.  I can offer you a pre release of the album hot off the press.
$1 is as valuable as $100 and all will be gratefully received.

What do you get?
$20 will pay for a pre release of the album and anything over $20 will pay for my current album "Break of the Day" too!

Who else is going to be involved?
I will be hiring a great producer by the Name of Toby Walker who grew up in Denmark and has been in Perth for the past year or so.  He's coming down to Denmark to set up a studio in my music room and I will be hiring local musicians to play on my songs and a wonderful mastering engineer from Perth will be doing the mastering.  Tony King will be doing a lot of instrumentation, Luke Tulloch will be on violin, some lead guitar from Scott Morris and hopefully some guitar work from my cousin Alex Wride in the UK. Myles Mitchell has offered some work on a song and Reuben Sharpe has offered to do some banjo and of course Toby will be there to do some more awesome guitar work.  Claire Adams will be doing the artwork and Peter Caron is the photographer.
