Jamie Devoe and her family are saddened to announce the passing of Jamie's husband Dean.
Thursday morning, July 18, Dean Devoe, 57 years old, of Sanford, Maine was life flighted from his home to Maine Medical in Portland. His wife, Jamie Cote Devoe, found him unresponsive at 4am. Jamie immediately began chest compressions until EMT’s arrived at their home. A good friend was at their home that morning. She was able to help contain their three dogs for the EMT’s, and be with their two young children, Garrett and Sophia, as Jamie and her mother raced to Portland.
Family and friends remained hopeful that Dean would recover from whatever had caused him to be found in this state. Sadly, Jaime learned from his doctors on Sunday morning that Dean was showing no signs of brain activity. Sadly, Dean passed away Sunday evening.
Jamie and Dean have been married for 13 years. He is a husband, father, family member and friend to many. He deeply loved his children, Garrett and Sofia; three dogs Elvis, Winston and Titan; as well as the family cat, Sid-Sid.
Dean’s wife Jaime is my cousin. She turned 40 in December. She earned her Masters in Business Administration just last year from Southern NH University--all while working full-time at Anthem, and keeping her busy household running smoothly.
Although she is known for her independent spirit and ability to seemingly do everything at once, she will need our love and support to help her family. If you know Jamie, then you know she will never ask for help herself. Yet, she is there when anyone else needs a hand up.
Dean worked full-time at Velux in Wells . His loss of income will greatly impact their family.
In support of Jamie, her children and pets--this gofundme page has been created to help with any costs related to Dean’s hospitalization, services, as well as financial assistance that will be much needed in the months and years to come for his beautiful family he has left behind.
All proceeds will go directly to support Jamie (40), Garrett (13) and Sophia (12) and the family pets.
