Dean O Rourke Support fund

The 'Dean O Rourke Fund established to fund Deans Cancer treatment and associated costs in Italy. 



Dean O'Rourke is 22 years old and lives in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow with his Mum Angela and little younger brother Seán. He is a student in DIT Aungier Street, studying Computer Science and dreams of one day becoming a programmer. In his spare time, Dean works in Penneys where he is highly thought of by all those whose path he crosses. He has been an avid football player, playing striker position for both  Leicester Celtic and Broadford Rover football clubs. Like all young adults, Dean was planning to take time off during his summer holidays to visit Vietnam with his girlfriend Hannah.


All of this sounds pretty normal for a lad Dean's age...except for one thing. Just days after his 22nd birthday, Dean was diagnosed with a form of spinal cancer, Angiosarcoma, so rare and life-threatening he must travel toThe Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institue in Italy to receive medical treatment and care. The initial operation is €46500.


This has turned Dean and his family's world upside-down. He already has the support of his family, girlfriend, and friends, but now Dean needs the support of his community and far beyond that!!


The *Dean O'Rourke Fund was established to support Dean throughout this process... emotionally, physically and financially!! Although a small country, we are charitable by nature, especially when it comes to the youth of Ireland. 


We are asking you to help Dean by  donating a€5 or what you can 
 
All funds raised will go directly to the O Rourke family and any surplus funds shall go to  The Spinal Unit in the Mater Hospital.
