Everybody wants to be somebody; Everybody wants to be wanted by somebody, but how can this be achieved if somebody has nobody?
Our black daughters are the most powerful humans in America today, yet still, daily, they are battling to break the chain of being belittled for their purpose in this world.
Sprouting from a seedling, with intention of serving the Greater Third-Ward Houston Area, through your help in the upbringing, the goals of the 'Dear Daughters,' Foundation are dedicated to implanting useful mentoring, motivation, and insurance of empowerment back into the lives of our black daughters that are living under disadvantaged educational, financial, social, and family conditions. Through this foundation, African American girls, ages 10-17, will have the opportunity to build life-long bonds, receive training in College and Career planning, Health/Fitness assurance, Crafts and creativity, Health awareness, and the opportunity to put to use what they've learned through educational seminars to contribute back to their homes town , as well as their following generation(s) of daughters.
Targeting a 9-month start up, all funds received will go directly to mantling seminars, recruitment of professional advisors/mentors/tutors, organized donation drives, care-packaging goods, and, wishfully, an official Foundation Registration in the Houston Area, become a 501(c)(3) organization, & the opening of a Houston location.
You, too, can help ensure the path of success is bright!
The following are potential goals planned to be accomplished through this foundation:
-Organized Drives (Clothing, Food, School Supplies)
-Fundraising Opportunities
-Volunteer Opportunities
-University trips/tours
-Academic Tutoring
-Care packages
-Fitness Academy
-Sex education/Health awareness
