Deb Lunsford Needs a Little Help

Deb had knee replacement surgery in June and will be laid up for three months. Insurance will cover most of the cost of the operation but three months is a long time to be out of work, and rent and bird food cost money.

Some of you might know Deb as the friendly counter gal at Glen Park’s Destination Bakery, or you might know her as a friend and champion to small helpless neighborhood creatures (four and two legged). Some of you might know her as the founder of “Living Sidewalks”, or maybe you met her years ago in North Beach where she worked as a manager for Enrico’s landmark café and bar.

However you met Deb, there is no doubt you have felt her warmth and kindness. She is a champion for the neighborhood and is always ready to offer her support to a friend in need. Now we have an opportunity to pay a little back to Deb. Please help a gal out by donating what you can, every dollar helps.

There will be a Rent Party for Deb at Bird and Beckett on July 26 from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Eric Shifrin and the 230 Jones Street, Local 6 Literary Jazz Band will be performing. Please join us for food, drink, music, and a chance to see how Deb is getting along.
