Decatur Father of 5 passes away in RV fire.

At half past 10am on Sunday February 24, 2019 the RV Ronnie Spence 42, his long time girlfriend Jennifer, and his children resided in caught fire. At the time the only people in the RV was Ronnie and Jennifer. Jennifer was able to escape through a back window. As she tried to get into the RV to get to Ronnie she suffered burns on her feet from the fire. She alerted the rest of her family of the fire and they scrambled to get hoses and fire extinguishers to try to get the fire out while calling 911.

Sadly they were not able to get to Ronnie and after the fire was put out by the Decatur Fire Department they found Ronnie deceased in the front part of the RV near the door.

Ronnie was a wonderful father to 5 amazing children, two of which are still minors. He was also a proud grandfather "papa" to two with his newest grandson born just 3 1/2 months ago and another grandbaby on the way.
