Batman I Vape I Vote/Legalise Nicotine Campaign; March 17 2018
Following on the heels of our successful campaign in Bennelong last year, we are gearing up for the fight of our lives! The Batman by election to be held on March 17th offers an unprecedented opportunity to show the politicians that our lives matter, and they cannot trample on our right to vape without consequences.
The Batman electorate in Northcote, Preston and Reservoir has many vape shops in and around it, and it has one of the highest concentrations of vapers in the country. This is our chance to be loud and proud and campaign for the vape vote. We’ll make a scorecard of each parties position on vaping and hand them out to influence votes; in Bennelong 5 out of 12 candidates supported legalising nicotine for vaping which was a powerful statement in itself, we certainly got their attention!
We are confident that with your help, we can make a much bigger impact at Batman and show them just how many vapers there are who vote. We need volunteers to hand out how to vote cards. We also need money to make as big an impact as possible. We need money to print up huge banners for election day and print the cards we’ll be handing out at every election booth.
We need to change the way they see vaping, to make them realise there are thousands of passionate vapers who are outraged that we are made into criminals for giving up smoking.
