Trump's most recent actions against the immigrant community are not in line with the vision of diversity, acceptance, and opportunity which the USA stands for.
We are attempting to organize a large-scale demonstration to #DefendDACA in Raleigh, NC. This would involve marching from a public square to the Legislative Office in downtown to deliver letters in support of DACA to our State Representatives.
We are collecting money to fund permits, advertising, and insurance for the event. Our current date is September 24, but before we can plan, we need your help raising the money to support this cause! Below is a tentative budget of what we need:
Permits $450
Flyers $100
Insurance $350
Police $210
We would love to have your support for this cause. Raleigh is a city of acceptance and diversity- which is why we are calling upon you to show your support and solidarity. Without you, this cannot happen! Please donate however much you can. Whether that's 10 cents or $10 dollars, anything will help us move towards our goal, and help this event happen!
Any funds that are not used will be donated to local efforts to provide aid to DACA recipients.
