Dempsey's Journey
Donation protected
On April 3rd, 2016, the world changed for 4 year old Dempsey Alan Kenagy and his family. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), also called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
His mom Coral and dad Jake are living a parent's worst nightmare. Coral is a full-time stay-at-home home-schooling mom with a part time job, and Jake is on the pastoral staff of a local church. Dempsey has an older brother Sawyer, who has always been his hero. Now this family is helping Dempsey navigate a new chapter of life. The chapter called "This should never happen to a child". But THIS is part of the story that God has written for Dempsey.
This journey in Dempsey's life now holds the next 3-4 years hostage to aggressive treatment, hospital stays, limited activities, nutritional needs and immunity restrictions. The family is currently looking into the future with so many unknowns, including financial impact. Not only hospital bills, but extra living expenses, and the impact of earnings as time is spent at the hospital instead of the workplace.
If you feel led, please contribute here, or in any other way. If you would like to follow this journey through the words of Coral, please connect with her blog http://dempseyupdates.blogspot.com/
Additional ways to help are located there as well. And the family is asking for HUGE prayers for healing, perserverance, and wisdom.
A goal for this GoFundMe account was required, so it is set it at $10,000. But we can't set limits on God's provisions... and the family will be grateful for any amount. Thank YOU, community. Your reaching out to this family IN ANY WAY is more impactful than you can imagine.
