Hello, my name is Alejandra Torres Mendoza. I am from Mexico, I have three children, and I have been married for 21 years. However, on the 10th of April, my family was emotionally destroyed. ICE agents, or immigration, came to my house and took away who we depend on the most. They arrived asking for a supposed fugitive and insisted that they needed to check inside. Of course, we did not open the door for them, but they insisted that they were going to wait all day until someone came outside. We sent my daughter, the oldest of my children, to talk with them. The officials showed her a photo of the fugitive and my daughter tried to explain to them that she did not know him. They did not believe her and said that if everyone came outside to confirm that none of them were the man, they would leave. But that is not what happened. They began to ask for identification and they took him. They placed cuffs and restrictions on him as if he were a criminal. My husband is a pastor and has always been the rock and example for our family. With him, my 14-year-old son could go to his appointments with his psychologists. Now, my son feels destroyed, which gives me the fear that he may do something to himself. I also have a two-year-old baby that needs his father to see him grow up. My husband is not a criminal and I ask for your help for mi family. They also took our brother in Christ that helped us with work and the bills. He is a good man with a clean record for whom we also ask for your help. I am very sad, but I do not lose hope that my family will be together again. And may God bless all the good Samaritans in this world.
