Deported Veteran Oral Histories

Donation protected
On January 13th, two members of the Veteran Action Coordinating Committee (www.facebook.com/vetactioncoordinatingcommittee) will be travelling to Mexico for a week to document the stories of veterans of the United States Military who have been deported following the completion of their service.

All donations are tax deductible. We collect our money under the umbrella of Innovative Capability Development Inc (ICDI).  All funds are channeled through them, and go directly towards our expenses during that week. ICDI's Tax ID # 47-4055558.

We are going to be based out of "the Bunker" - deported veteran support house while we are in-country (https://www.facebook.com/DeportedVeteransSupportHousePage), and will drive out to the surrounding area to meet and interview individual veterans.

Our objectives of this trip are threefold:

1. We want to give these warriors an opportunity to tell their story in their own voice, from start to finish.

2. We will record these stories in the Library of Congress as a permanent audio record of their service and their struggle.

3. We will provide exposure to their situation as well as contact info for who you can call/message/provide financial support to get them home.

We wholeheartedly support the effort to get our deported brothers and sisters in arms back to the United States. Regardless of circumstance, once they put on that uniform we became family - and family always take care of their own.

This is a bipartisan issue and needs bipartisan support. Please consider donating and helping us get these veterans home!
