Derek Duffy

As many of you know, Derek fell victim to a vicious unprovoked attack in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 18th April.

He was left with a bleed on the brain and a fractured skull. He was ambulanced to Royal Darwin hospital where he spent the next 5 days in ICU.

Although Derek is out of danger, it is going to be a long road to recovery and this is where we ask for your help...

Derek exhausted the majority of his accrued sick pay during his 6 week leave from work. This was due to a dislocated and fractured shoulder caused by an existing health issue.

This attack is going to change Derek's life, and if we, his friends and family can make it financially easier for him, whilst he is unable to work, it is one less thing for him to worry about and he can just concentrate on resting and getting better.

I think I speak for anyone that has ever come into contact with Derek, when I say he is one in a million. One of the happiest, and nicest guys you could ever wish to meet... So let's try and get the smile back on his face.
