Derrick Chandler-Christie Peru Trip

Derrick Chandler-Christie is a Junior at Ferndale Area High School. He was hand picked by teachers along with a handful of fellow classmates to go on the Trip of a Lifetime to
Peru this summer.
Derrick is a year round wrestler. He wrestles through a co-op for Westmont Hilltop during the school year and is a Three Time PIAA AA State Qualifier and a 2017 State Medalist. During the spring and summer he wrestles Freestyle and
Greco-Roman and is a National Qualifier having traveled with the PA State Team to wrestle in Fargo, ND. His goal since he was 13 years old
has been to wrestle for the Naval Academy.
He was selected to be a part of this Amazing Opportunity for his Strong Leadership Qualities, being a Positive Roll Model, his unwavering loyalty to friends, family and
community, his humble attitude and the desire to help and enrich the lives of Every person he comes in contact with.
This trip is not only about seeing and
experiencing the Art and Culture of Peru. It is also about going into the villages, getting to know the people and doing Community Service in
each. Helping in the building of Schools, planting and helping with whatever the needs are with each Village they visit.
So far we have been able to pay for over half of the trip but with the payoff deadline fast approaching on April 21st, we are looking for
Sponsor's to help with the rest.
Trips like this can be quite expensive and with $1,500 still remaining to be paid off, Any help would be Greatly Appreciated and Derrick would like
