Crown's Recovery
Donation protected
Yesterday, while my horse was in the pasture he walked into the pond to cool off as usual. While in the pond, a large gator attacked him from the rear, this is the aftermath of the attack. We assume this alligator is being fed by nearby neighbors watching his willingness to come dangerously close to people. This is a very large open wound that will take about 8-10 months of daily therapy. We are already two doctors deep in the emergency fund for our horses. Therapy like this is a long process with a lot of medication and wound dressing products. Crown is on the road to recovery, and the next couple weeks are going to be crucial to his recovery.
Crown has been a part of our family for 18 of his 21 years and we are doing everything we can to take care of him and to show the same love and devotion to him as he has done for us for the past 18 years. We will post pictures as he continues to heal and keep people updated. Any help and support in his fight would be greatly appreciated, thank you from our family!
