Support an equitable tech industry

Let’s create an equitable tech industry together.
<div>ersity is building a platform that will transform the face of tech by connecting a community of diverse tech talent with trusted, transparent companies.
Marginalized people in the tech industry are often unseen and unheard, yet their voices can have a huge impact for the success of any company.
Why do this?
We’ve built the basic infrastructure for our platform, but need to take it to the finish line. We’re not just talking the talk, we’re walking the walk. We have a handful of developers lined up from marginalized communities that we are ready to hire and give equitable pay for their work.
Our platform is focused on the intersectional needs of all diverse communities, particularly:
Race
LBGTQ identity
Visible and Invisible disabilities
Weight/Appearance diversity
Veterans
Age diversity
Neurodiversity
Socio-economic backgrounds
Religion
Gender
Voices from Our Community
Ways You Can Help
Spread the word! Coders, developers, engineers AND the companies that hire them! This is for all of us!
Why aren’t you just going after VC money?
We believe in people over profits. We strongly believe that our heart and purpose belongs with the developers and coders whose voices we’re trying to elevate. We believe in building trust with people that have been marginalized their entire life. The VC model is focused on profitability over social impact, and <div>ersity is a public benefit corporation focused on creating an equitable tech industry.
Company Roll Call (We’ve worked with them!)
How Your Money Will Be Used
Through our development process and personal experiences, we’ve analyzed and estimated the amount of developer hours needed to build this project based on mid-level and senior-level developers. These estimates have been used to provide our target goal of $25,000 to cover the costs of labor.
The Co-Founders are still working for no pay at this time, and putting in all sweat equity until we get this product off the ground.
Stretch Goal - $50,000
We will create an apprenticeship as part of building the <div>ersity platform. The stretch goal will allow us to provide training to the senior developer working to build the project on their mentorship skills, and be able to pay an apprentice a monthly stipend to cover their cost of living while mastering their coding skills on a real life project.
