DJ Wasserman Memorial

On April 24th, 2018, a fire destroyed my childhood home. My brother DJ, who was asleep upstairs, was unable to escape; firefighters were also unable to reach him in time due to the size and severity of the fire. News Coverage of the Fire
My sister Nora, her boyfriend Chijo, and my dad, Al, were also home at the time the fire broke out, but were able to safely get out of the house. Three dogs also made it out, but Nora lost her beloved dog, Boss, and two guinea pigs. My mom was at work at the time it happened.
(Boss was a sweet, lovable dog who loved to give kisses)
DJ was a great kid who would do anything for anyone who asked. He loved music of all kinds, and enjoyed watching hockey, football, and movies. He was recently promoted at work to a supervisor position. He worked hard, saved his earnings, and had purchased himself a new truck. At only 24 years old, he never planned for funeral expenses. Now, along with losing their son and their home, my parents are faced with the crushing task of planning and paying for an unexpected funeral.
(The Wasserman Kids, Left to Right: DJ, Kevin, Nora, Melissa, Sheli, Rachel)
My hope is to raise enough money to help cover some of the funeral expenses, and maybe, just maybe, give my family a little bit of comfort at a time when their faith is non-existent.
Please donate, and share this campaign with your friends. My family needs your help.
With love and gratitude,
Rachel
