Trail of Angels
Donation protected
After the tragedy of 12/14 Newtown Bridle Lands Association committed itself to establishing a memorial trail. Fundraisers were held as NBLA explored various options for locating the trail. The goal was to provide a trail for passive users - equestrians, walkers, hikers, nature observers - to enjoy and find peace in a beautiful natural setting in Sandy Hook/Newtown.
NBLA is very excited about its partnership with the Catherine Violet Hubbard foundation. CVH Foundation is developing an animal sanctuary. Plans are moving forward to establish the Trail of Angels on the Foundation's property at Fairfield Hills in Newtown. This will involve a great deal of work as NBLA restores old trails there that are overgrown and also blocked by fallen trees in many places. The Trail will connect with other trails on town and state land at Fairfield hills.
Additional funds are needed to cover the cost of clearing and signage as well as continuing maintenance and improvements to the trail. Please support us as we move ahead with the Trail of Angels, a meaningful memorial that will provide a beautiful trail to be enjoyed by many for years to come.
