Photos and xray Dominck's teethDominick after one of his procedures, swollen and in pain.
Every photo he smiles with his mouth closed.
His teeth were growing in "clusters", "clumps" and impacted, they had to be surgically removed.

Would you be willing to support Dominick for future dental and medical procedures that he will need due to an injury? You may already know what Dominick has endured since he was only 3 months old. On October 1, 2005, while he was sleepingin his little bouncy chair, a piece of furniture fell onto and fractured Dominick's upper jaw and palate. He also suffered trauma to his mid-facial fractures. He was rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospiatl in Orlando where Dr Gupta placed a tracheostomy tube so he could breathe while undergoing urgent surgery and prolonged recovery. He was tube fed while in the hospital  until they could remove the trach and his wounds heeled. After 16 days in the hospital, he was discharged. According to the Center for Injury Research, an estimated 264,200 children were hurt by furniture tip-overs between 1990 and 2007.

When Dominick turned 16 months old, he was refered to Shands Jacksonville Hospital and into the care of Dr Steinberg. The physicians determined that fractured remnant were interfering with Dominick's jaw development and eruption of4 his teeth. He had to undergo maxillofacial surgery under anesthesia to remove these broken bone and teeth fragments, to give him the best chance of developing a normal jaw and teeth.

For the past 12 years, Dominick has been receiving care from a specialist pediatric dentist, Dr McDonnell, an orthodontist Dr Lowe and his oral surgeon, Dr Gains who provided necessary recurring car and periodic procedures for Dominick's condition. Dr Gains also performed oral surgery which requires cuting open his gums and into his upper jaw to remove several teeth that were incorrectly positioned, deformed and defecive. But despite this devoted care, much uncertainty looms and Dominick and his physicians have simply had to "wait and see".  It is obvious he will not have a natural set of teeth.  Now that some time has passed and Dominick is 13 and ready to enter high school, he is ready to start cosmetic treatment, more oral surgeries, applied braces, partials or dentures.

Dominick's Dad is devoted and works hard to provide all the care needed. Despite this, he cannot afford all these future procedures for his son on his own. Sadly, Dominck's Mom died 3 years ago through a tragic murder. (FaceBook, Crystal Pifer) (Google, Crime Watch Daily, Crystal Pifer)

Your contribution will make it possible for Dominick to have these needed procedures.A functioning jaw and teeth are vital for anybody's quality of life. This will be especially critical now that Dominick has reached his teenage years, dealing withthe challanges of high school and young adulthood.

ALL monies donated will go directly to Dominick's doctors and dentists.  Dominick is such a sweet boy who has been through so much. He deserves a beautiful smile.

This is the most current photo of Dominick's teeth, Sept 30, 2018. He's ready to start more treatment so he may have a natural set of looking teeth entering high school.
