Dear Friends and Supporters,

As the Founder of 3 Husketeers Rescue, I have dedicated my life to saving and rehabilitating dogs who deserve a second chance. However, I recently faced a life-threatening challenge myself. On October 8, 2024, I suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized for three days.

I am here to share this story with you that truly embodies the spirit of our mission at 3 Husketeers Rescue. Last week, I experienced a severe heart attack, a situation that could have ended tragically if not for a series of fortunate events.

Zoey, one of our beloved rescues, was featured on 6abc, which led Caron, a kind-hearted animal lover, to our doorstep. Her timely visit turned into a life-saving action as she promptly called for emergency services, ensuring I received the critical care needed at Phoenixville Hospital. During this harrowing time, Caron's compassion shone through as she cared for our rescues until my husband's return.

The most heartwarming twist? Caron, who had come to consider adopting Zoey, found her heart stolen by our furry friend. Zoey, once saved by our rescue, became my guardian angel, and now she has found a forever home with Caron.

This experience has been a profound reminder of the incredible bond between humans and animals, and how each life saved through our efforts can ripple out in unexpected, life-affirming ways. We are eager to share the joyous images of Zoey in her new home, radiating happiness and love.

As I focus on recovery and am restricted to rest and cardio rehabilitation for the rest of the year, our rescue faces a critical period. This time is usually spent at events raising funds for the upcoming year. In 2024, we spent over $42,000 on veterinary care, a testament to our commitment to these animals.
